THE MPN INTRODUCES THE CONCEPT OF SPEED DATING
TO POKER WITH THE LAUNCH OF HEADS UP 8 MAN BLAZE
ISLE OF MAN – The MPN (www.thempn.eu),
formerly known as the Microgaming Poker Network, is pleased to announce
the launch of Heads Up 8 Man Blaze on the MPN.
Blaze Poker is the MPN’s fast-fold poker variant. Heads
Up Blaze has been live on the MPN since Blaze Poker launched in
May 2012, but this new version is bigger and better than the original.
With Heads Up 8 Man Blaze, up to eight players enter into a liquidity
pool to play mano-a-mano. Unlike traditional Heads Up fast-fold
tables, players can only enter each liquidity pool once, and only
eight players are allowed in each pool, thus closely replicating
the experience of playing in a traditional Heads Up table, but with
a lot more action. Think of it as a combination of poker and speed
dating.
Heads Up 8 Man Blaze will replace all regular Heads Up tables,
thus solving the industry-wide problem of ‘bum-hunting’,
in which players park in a seat at a Heads Up table and wait for
a weaker player to arrive, refusing play with any player of equal
or better skill.
Martin Stalros, Head of Poker Operations at Unibet, comments:
“Microgaming has always shown a strong commitment to innovation
and unique product development, and Heads Up 8 Man Blaze is no exception.”
Lydia Melton, Head of Network Games at Microgaming, adds: “This
release is the latest in a long line of recreational player-friendly
developments for the MPN. I truly believe that we have developed
an exceptional product for our operators to utilise, and I’m
extremely excited about being, once again, first to market with
such a player-focused software feature.”
The MPN is continuing its tradition of innovation and being first
to market with products. Blaze Poker was the first network fast-fold
poker solution, which is also available on the HTML5 Mobile platform.
Heads Up 8 Man Blaze follows on the heels of the deployment of a
patent-pending Bad Beat Jackpot, which has paid out close to one
million Euros to hundreds of players since its release in March
2013.
