Online Gambling News – Online Casino Gambling Live in New Jersey
December 24, 2013
New Jersey has made news recently as they are the first state to
allow online casino gambling. Nevada was the first one to allow
online poker but they didn’t take the bigger step to include
other casino games. New Jersey went all-in and took the bigger step
to allow other casino games like blackjack, roulette, craps, slots,
etc. And if State Senator Raymond Lesniak gets his way, the state
of New Jersey will do a lot more than just allow its residents to
play online. Lesniak wants to make New Jersey a place where online
gambling companies can reside and offer their games to players outside
of the United States.
The big boys in New Jersey have a much larger vision than just
allowing their 9 million residents to play online. They want to
have companies set up shop in their state. It is kind of like what
Costa Rica has done as they have allowed companies to set up in
their country and offer gambling services to players from around
the world. New Jersey is looking to do the same thing.
New Jersey has a tough fight ahead as there are many like Sheldon
Adelson who is the CEO of Las Vegas Sands who wants to keep gambling
in the U.S restricted. Adelson has not joined many of the big casino
moguls who are rolling out online casino sites so he has a lot to
lose if online casino gambling expands even further into the U.S.
Adelson will eventually lose the battle but his millions of dollars
could slow the process.
The new online gambling sites available to New Jersey residents
offer poker, blackjack, roulette, slots, etc. that can be played
on home computers and mobile devices.
