Review:
Golden Tiger Poker was launched in October of 2002 and is still one of the smaller, but more active poker rooms on the Internet. Since its launch, Golden Tiger has delivered over 650,000 hands to their customers, primarily for Texas Hold'em, but also 5 and 7 Card Stud Poker. The advantages of a “smaller” poker room are: fewer people make it a more friendly atmosphere, since you keep seeing the same folks whenever you play, and on the flip side of that is fewer people more than likey means it's harder to find a game other than Texas Hold'em during non-peak hours.
Golden Tiger Poker is powered by Microgaming which is behind the Prima Poker Network, and also a member of the Interactive Gaming Council and operates under their code of conduct guaranteeing fair and honest gaming. They have independently reviewed Random Card Shufflers, the results of which are published on their website by the RCS Auditors.
The GTP site offers a wide choice of depositing such as - Visa, Master Card, Diners Club International, Firepay, Neteller, Citadel, ECO Card, Moneybookers, Payspark, Click2Pay, Ukash, and echeck while promotions boasting a 50% matching deposit bonus up to $200. FirePay however, doesn't allow you to deposit at the poker room if you funded your Firepay accounts using a credit card.
Golden Tiger Poker maintains a 24 hour 7 days per week call center to handle all email and telephone queries and will even call you for that more of a personal one on one support we all desire.
The interface and the play arena of Golden Tiger is consistent, without having any contrast keeping it a relaxing flow to your navigation.
The lobby allows you to view open tables, by the type of game. Each game list allows you to view the stakes for the game, the number of people playing and when relevant, the number of people waiting to play. You'll be able to choose the betting limits you're comfortable with. Texas Hold'em stakes range from $.50/$1 to as much as a $50/$100 table. Once your in there, you'll see a table and chairs - but only names for players, not Avatars (something representing you at the tables) like at most poker rooms. Right click a players names for more info on them and the ability to keep notes.
All the games are great if you like that particular version of poker. Texas Hold'em is typically the most popular variation, with 7 Card Stud following closely behind.
Golden Tiger also has a $250 prize for highest Texas Hold'em hand every day, and being a member of the Prima Poker Network, players at your table can be playing against you from any one of many Prima Poker Network member sites.
All in all, whether you're playing ring games, sit-n-go's or even tournaments and qualifiers," Golden Tiger Poker is a great place to play..............
......GRrrrrrrr or as we say shuffle up and deal""!
