Anyone who lives in the UK will be familiar with the name Ladbrokes chain as the company is one of the UKs biggest bookmakers (sportbooks). Ladbrokes Casino therefore is tailored very much for the UK market, and although they do allow international clients unfortunately they currently do not accept clients from either the USA or Germany.
Opening an account at Ladbrokes allows you to play at their casino, sportsbook, poker site or skill games sites, and you can move your money between the four by using the simple banking interface provided on their site, or the built in interface in the casino. The casino itself is powered by Microgaming Viper so as you would expect the graphics are top quality, and there is an excellent selection of games. A smaller selection of games are available in an instant play format.
One of the things I like about Ladbrokes is the ability to make small deposits, the minimum deposit accepted is just 5GBP, unlike many Microgaming casinos who have a 20 minimum. Also winnings are flushed from your account instantly on withdrawal, so there is no temptation to reach for the reversal button. Payouts themselves used to be instant, if I had made a deposit with my debit card, my winnings would instantly appear on my card, but now it takes up to three days for the funds to be cleared. I'm not sure whether that is a policy of Ladbrokes or my banks however.
The main downside for me, is the inflexibility of deposit methods. When you choose a method of making a deposit then you cannot make a deposit using any other method unless you contact customer services. I quite often spread my gambling between my credit card and my Neteller account, and I like the flexibility of being able to choose which method I use to make a deposit.
Ladbrokes have tried quite hard to create a good all round gaming experience particularly tailored for the British market and with good attention to detail even the voice introducing you to the casino has an English accent! To earn the fifth star however, Ladbrokes really need to sort of the flexibility of their banking system, and allow players to choose from multiple deposit methods.
