I must admit my first impressions of Slotland were not particularly positive, Although I had heard great things about the casino, when I arrived there I found myself being transported back in a time warp to the early days of online gambling where HTML games were the latest cutting edge technology. There is a basic selection of 13 games, most of which are slots but there are also a couple of videopokers including a multihand wild card based game, Wildheart. The main jackpot is shared across all the games including the videopokers.
Surprisingly enough, I found the games quite addictive and as soon as the gambling adrenaline kicked in I hardly noticed the lack of sound or the basic graphics. The slot booster has a couple of cool features – the first is the boost symbol which allows you to boost your bet up to 10 time if you should desire, whereas all losing bets go into a special cashbox which you can either cash in at any time for 10% of its value, or attempt to win back everything you have lost in a special bonus gamble.
Slotland have recently launched a mobile casino and they are currently offering a free $20 to try out their new mobile game Lucky Stars. I did try to access the mobile casino but unfortunately I could not get it to work with my phone. However, Slotland do have support for a wide selection of phones, so hopefully you will be luckier than I was.
Deposits can be made via credit card, Neteller, Moneybookers, Firepay or 900 Pay/Ewallet Express. Although I didn't cash out I was a little disturbed by the notice that all withdrawals will be processed on the first business day of the month, which would give you a long wait if you happened to win on the second!
My overall impression of Slotland was that is was very much a niche casino – it is billed as WebTV and AOL compatible, and I thought that its limited selection of games would be suitable for those who prefer a more low-tech gambling experience. If you hanker for the days of HTML games, then you will love Slotland
